Larry Clyde is a happy, tail-wagging senior who needs to continue working on weight loss. He has several health issues that he came to us with. Larry has an enlarged heart, probably as a result of the heartworm infestation he has. We are treating that with "slow kill" given his age and general health, but it will take time. He also has an unexplained burn scar on his back that appears to be a chemical burn of some kind from long ago, but it doesn't give him any pain. Larry also came with bad dental problems, which we have already worked on, but we are still medicating for the remaining infection following the extractions. He has some fluid in his lungs, also being treated with antibiotics, and abcesses in the anal area and glands, which are also being treated.

Despite all of these concerns, Larry is one happy boy! He loves people, other dogs, leash walks, and of course food (which we are limiting). We are hopeful that with good vet care, time, and ongoing TLC, Larry will come out on top of all these things and enjoy life even more! Meanwhile, he will need regular check-back appointments at the vet, continuing medication including heart meds, and possibly other care as those issues occur. We would deeply appreciate any donations to assist with Larry's recovery, but in the meanwhile we are just glad we have the opportunity to help Larry and share the good times with him!
