Hugo was transferred to us from a rescue who normally doesn't work with Dachshunds. He has some of the typical double-dapple complications.His eyes don't do well with bright light, the pupils don't normally expand and contract as they should, and his hearing is not well developed. He also tends to be very easily triggered into an anxiety mode. He likes to find one person that he wants to cling to and is very vocal toward anyone else. Because of his sensory and neurological deficits Hugo is not a good candidate for adoption. We will continue to work with him and strive to keep building his comfort level and social skills.
