Poppy is small, active, and very cute! Poppy is a sweet puppy, but she is very vocal with a high-pitch bark, and she has a tendency to be clingy and needy- she wants to be in contact with her humans as much as possible, and will let them know. She is smart, young, and very receptive to positive reinforcement and training, but she absolutely needs an adopter who is experienced in raising a puppy like Poppy.

She requires someone who trains with love and not scolding, and who knows how to successfully set guidelines while still reassuring Poppy that she is a good girl and is loved. Poppy is best with adults, is okay with small dogs but prefers to be the center of attention, and definitely needs someone who will have most or all of their time at home to work with her.

Poppy needs a secure environment. Keep in mind that Poppy is very small and quick so there is no room for errors with safety. Poppy will not do well in multi-family or apartment settings, and is much better with house training in a single-family home. Dog doors will not be acceptable for Poppy, again due to her size and curious nature.
