Zoe came to the rescue because the only Momma she ever knew was no longer able to care for her and had to ensure that she would get a loving new home.  She is literally the smallest dog we have ever seen.  But small in size does not mean small in character.  She really thinks she is the biggest one in the room.  Her size makes it easy for her to sit on your foot while she is resting, carry in one arm and easily fits in a purse.  But don’t tell her she is small- Zoe has a huge personality and while it took a whole hour or so to warm up to her new foster mom and dad, she is very protective and will let you know if someone is around.  At 2 1/2 years old, she is full of energy and really loves to run outside.  She can fit in or through very small places so she will need an incredibly secure environment.  Constant supervision while outside is a must, but Zoe enjoys leash walks as much as supervised exploration. Zoe will not be placed in a home with a doggie door. Zoe investigates everything and as a part of her nature she is very inquisitive and is always right there next to you wanting to help with anything you are doing.  She is minding very well and really likes structure and knowing how she is to behave as she is always trying to please us.  She does really well with our other dogs and would probably do best with another dog she can play with or with someone that will to give her tons of attention.  She can occupy herself for short times but is really looking for interaction and attention.  Zoe is a wonderful little girl with so much love and devotion to give and looking for that person she can call her own. For the right person Zoe is a fantastic little pet!
