Description:Other Pictures of BJ (click to see larger version):
BJ was originally named Bon Jour, but her name was shortened by her previous owners. She got the name by being a vocal little lady who said a loud "Hello" to everyone she met. Unfortunately, when BJ's owners had to go into a retirement / assisted living facility, Baby still wanted to talk to everyone walking by. She had never been in a multi-unit dwelling environment, and her constant barking at all the new and strange sounds, scents, and movement made it impossible for her to stay there.
BJ is a good girl, she's just vocal. She's very sweet once she knows you're her friend, and she is a good leash walker who is comfy around adults. BJ can be snarky around other dogs sometimes- it's not that she doesn't like them, it's more as though she sees no purpose for them. Diva that she is, BJ prefers to get all the attention.
At 7 - 10 years old, BJ looks and acts half that age, and she is generally in very good health. The only exception is that her previous owners sent her with Proin, a medication she takes every evening. They said it keeps her from having urinary accidents or needing to go during the night. We haven't had her long enough to know whether it's truly necessary or not, but we have notice no problems with her house training, so there's probably no need to change anything as long as it's working.
This cute lady deserves a loving forever home. She's loyal, has personality, and the perfect dog for the right situation. BJ is ready to say "Hello" to a great furever home!
