Description:
Simba was rescued from a Texas kill shelter. He is a very well behaved boy who gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He is a little intimidated by big dogs but does really well with dogs under 30 lbs. He would do best in a home with at least one other dog companion. He doesn’t show any interest in the cat that shares his foster home. He loves plush squeaky toys and so far just plays with them without tearing them open. Simba enjoys playing with other dogs but also loves snuggling on the couch with his foster parents. He is perfecting his house training skills and will need a patient family that will continue to take him outside until he understands what is expected in his new home. He doesn’t like to be gated or kenneled alone but if another dog is with him or at least close by he feels more comfortable. Simba does not care for young children, but is fine with most older children and all adults. Simba is estimated to be 6 months old. He has a very unique brindle coat that is not often seen in purebred Dachshunds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventative.
